Tour Itinerary
Thursday
18:15 – Check in for your adventure tour at Roma Street Station.
19:15pm – The Westlander departs from Brisbane, travelling across the towering mountains of the Great Dividing Range through the lush green countryside of the Darling Downs, on an overnight journey to historic Charleville. On arrival in Charleville you will transfer onto the coach bound for Cunnamulla the starting point of your adventure tour in the outback.

Friday – Day 1 (AT,D)
06:31 – The Westlander will arrive in Roma, and then it is a short journey to Mitchell and then Morven. The morning will provide some great opportunities to view the sunrise and enjoy the wildlife from your cabin window.
12:00 midday – The Westlander arrives in Charleville where you will board the shuttle coach that will take you to Cunnamulla. Along the way there will be a short break at the historic Gladstone Hotel in Wyandra where you can enjoy a beer and use the facilities.
14:35 - On arrival in Cunnamulla you will be welcomed by the friendly staff at Out the Back Australia before being offered a delicious High Tea. Once you settle into your accommodation for the tour it's time to relax and head for the Bowls club to meet the locals and enjoy a game of barefoot bowls and traditional Aussie tucker.

Saturday – Day 2 (B,MT,L,AT,D)
Start the day with a beautiful buffet breakfast before embarking on a tour of Cunnamulla and huge scale local industry developments. Learn how Cunnamulla came to be and what is making this small town in the outback tick today. Late afternoon it's time to depart for the magnificent Warrego River where you can sit back, relax and become surrounded by nature as you cruise the coffee coloured waters with a local. Expect to see lots of birdlife, wildlife and then an amazing outback sunset to cap off a great afternoon.

Sunday – Day 3 (B,MT,L,AT,D)
Start the day with a smile and light breakfast then drive south to Rocky Station where you will be greeted by the owners. On arrival take a casual stroll along the Wallaby Walk looking for tiny wallabies that make homes along the water’s edge. Walk the 75mtr suspended swinging footbridge over the Warrego River at Rocky Station. When you get to the other side there will be delicious treats to enjoy with the station owners who will welcome you into their home. Over a magnificent morning tea owners will talk about the four generations of Webster’s to make Rocky home. Enjoy a few hours free time and relax before dinner.

Monday – Day 4 (B,MT,L,AT,D)
Rise to a hearty buffet breakfast before we depart to a working sheep and cattle property. Today you will get to experience life on a property and tour the property to experience some amazing country and nature unique to this part of the world. After a long day full of culture and adventure we head back to Cunnamulla for a good night’s sleep.

Tuesday – Day 5 (B,MT,L,AT,D)
06:00 - Rise early and enjoy a full buffet breakfast before departing to Yowah the only place in the world you can find a type of opal called a "Yowah Nut". Be amazed as you travel around the town with a local miner and hear the stories of the past and present miners all exploring for the perfect stone. Take a mine tour then get cracking some nuts of your own with the guidance of a long term miner who will help you cut and polish your find. Late afternoon depart for the heritage town of Eulo where you can experience the mud springs and a tour of the town before departing for Cunnamulla for another magnificent dinner. (Mud bath is an optional extra and we recommend you book this amazing experience Extra $65p.p).

Wednesday – Day 6 (B,MT,L)
Have a sleep in today you have been given a late check out! Enjoy your last buffet breakfast and pack your bags as you head off on your last journey around Cunnamulla. Go back 100 million years in time in the Artesian Time Tunnel and learn all about the Artesian Basin and how it opened up this area to settlers. Browse through the museum visit the local shops and enjoy a hearty lunch before bidding your new mates a fond farewell. Ends 12:00.
Cunnamulla Airport Transfer (in-house)
12:15 - Depart Cunnamulla for Cunnamulla airport where you will be checked in for your flight. Check in will close 30 minutes prior to the scheduled departure time.
13:15 Flight departs Cunnamulla on a Dash 8 aircraft arriving Brisbane domestic airport 16:15. Fully staffed with an on board attendant offering the best service and facilities this will be the greatest airborne experience of your life. On departure from Cunnamulla you will fly over many channels and the Warrego river system providing you with a bird’s eye view of what you have experienced on your adventure tour. The ever changing countryside highlights the vastness of the outback and the tough conditions of the land. Of particular interest is the view of large scale cotton production and grape vineyards clearly visible as your flight lands in St George. Within a few minutes you are back in the air travelling towards Toowoomba. The flight path takes in the Great Dividing Range and magnificent Darling Downs grazing country. Landing in Toowoomba for a number of minutes passengers will board the aircraft and you will set off on your journey to your final destination of Brisbane. Arrival time Brisbane 16:15.
