Day 1 - Friday (D)
07:00 – Check in at Brisbane Transit Centre Greyhound Coach Terminal desk.

07:30 – Depart Brisbane on Greyhound coach bound for Toowoomba.

09:40 - Arrive at Toowoomba Coach Terminal and transfer onto the Coach Qld Coach service.

10:30 - Depart Toowoomba Coach terminal via the Garden City then through the rugged outback Dalby, Moonie, Westmar, St George, Bollon and then destination Cunnamulla.

19:45 - On arrival in Cunnamulla you will be greeted by your Out the Back Australia tour guide taken to your night’s accommodation and given dinner.  After a big day of travel you have the chance to immerse yourself with larger-than-life characters and enjoy a beer and yarn with the local characters at the Cunnamulla Bowling Club.

Overnight Cunnamulla camping in swag under the stars.

Day 2 - Saturday (B, L, D)
After a big night with the locals you get to have a sleep in.  Wake naturally to the singing native birds and help yourself to a continental breakfast or wander to the Out the Back Australia headquarters for a cooked breakfast.

Once everyone is on the move we will head for the magnificent Warrego River to embark on a kayak journey along the windy banks lined with a canopy of ancient river gums, wildlife and birdlife.  Lunch will be at a secluded spot along the way under a shady Coolabah tree that the late Banjo Patterson made famous in his poetry

The afternoon offers a couple of hour’s free time to do anything you like.  Push bikes are available if you fancy going for a ride.  For those that rested you could now be at an advantage as we head for the adrenalin rush of sandboarding and sledding down the massive natural dunes.

Tonight’s dinner will be a grand feed of roasted locally grown organic lamb and veg while you sit back with a cool drink and soak in the peaceful ambience.  Sit around the campfire and take the unique opportunity to master the ancient Aboriginal art of playing the didgeridoo, watch the star filled skies or have a sing along.

Day 3 - Sunday (B, L, D)
The morning commences with an early breakfast as we depart for the morning’s adventures at Rocky Station.  Another opportunity to stroll along the banks of the Warrego River on the “Wallaby Walk” so keep your eyes open and be quiet so you can spot one of these cute little fellas often seen at the water’s edge.

Act out your “Indiana Jones” fantasy and navigate your way across the 70 meter swinging footbridge.  Arriving at the homestead, enjoy a mouth watering morning tea and relish in the friendly country hospitality offered by station owners Chris and Mike Webster.

Departing Rocky Station we travel to Charlotte Plains farm stay where you may meet station owner Robyn. You can have fun exploring this magnificent property with a natural hot spa to soak in with a beer or glass of wine enjoying the sunset.

There will be many photo opportunities as you look at the spectacular sunset with the historical “Turnworth” bore in the foreground with nature’s mineral rich artesian waters at your disposal.

Tonight you will be served great bush tucker in a magnificent outback setting around the camp fire sharing a yarn and experiences.

Testimonials

Volker Rhein, Germany
